Hemel Hempstead Swimming Club

Hemel Hempstead Swimming Club (HHSC) ranks as one of Hertfordshire’s premier clubs. The Club currently has around 200 members from age 5 to 60+, who compete regularly in a wide range of competitions. We are a SwimMark essential Accredited Club.

The Club can trace its history to 1840, but was formally established in 1913; more details of our history may be found here.  The Club is a member of Swim England and had the distinction of being the first Club in Hertfordshire to win the ASA Swim 21 accreditation, a kitemark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable clubs.  We are currently accredited as a Swim 21 Essential club and in 2013 were appointed as a Disability Assessment Centre.

Our ethos is simply to provide the best support we can to each and every individual swimmer to help them perform to the best of their ability, and achieve the best results they can. We regularly have swimmers competing at the Eastern Region Long and Short Course Championships and in excess of 50 swimmers competing in the Hertfordshire County Age Group Championships.

British National Record breakers
Hemel Masters travelled to Swansea to compete in prestigious British Masters & Senior age group long course meet.

Swimming against the top masters swimmers in the Great Britain Hemel performed well to secure a number of podium finishes.

    Most of our training is at Everyone Active in Hemel Hempstead.

    Park Rd, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1JS

    Berkhamsted

    Wednesday evening training is at Berkhamsted Leisure Centre.

    Lagley Meadow, Douglas Gardens, Berkhamsted, HP4 3QQ.

    Luton

    50m pool training on Sundays for two squads is at Inspire Luton Sports Village.
